Reading the End Bookcast, Ep.41: Guilty Reads, I’ll Give You the Sun, and a Game about Titles

This week, the Jennys are trying to get over feeling guilty about their guilty pleasures (but still, we have some). We review Jandy Nelson’s wonderful YA novel I’ll Give You the Sun, and we play an amazing game invented by Simon. You can listen to the podcast in the embedded player below or download the file directly here to take with you on the go.

  • Wait! Wait wait! What was that book about something Georgette Heyer something something magic? I was walking outside and it was too cold to take my hand out my pocket to replay that part. It’s super important, thanks!

    • Hahahaha, it’s Zen Cho’s Sorcerer to the Crown! So excited.

      • Yay! Thanks!

Ohhh, a freed slave! And a woman! Doing magic! They’re not going to receive too many invitations to parties during the Season, amIrite? 😀

Haha I love this whole comment thread. I totally wrote down that title as well!

Also, I really enjoyed this podcast overall! I loved I’ll Give You the Sun, so it was nice to hear y’all’s thoughts on it!

Haha, Whiskey Jenny’s guilty tone about Brockmann’s Navy Seals books was hilarious. And congrats on consciously abandoning a book for the first time!
Also, that game seemed hard! I realized that I know very few famous quotations!

    • I am so glad you said that! Usually people make fun of us for the games being too easy and us failing at them. :p
