Aside from the tiny kitten whose name I can&#039;t remember, the narrating cat who calls together her bretheren to discuss revenge against the humans is the only one who earnestly believes that dream sharing will reverse the emotional damage she sustained when her children were drowned. I think Gaiman uses the crowd of skeptical cats to sort of temper any possibility of delving too deep into pretentiousness. But I&#039;m biased because it&#039;s one of my favorite stories in the parts of the &quot;Sandman&quot; series that I&#039;ve read...]]></description>
