The colliding dreams were creepy, but I still thought Gaiman pulled it off in a way that was simultaneously beautiful. It's kind of Jungian, postmodern romance that almost anyone can relate to. I think most people at some point or another have wondered if what their subconscious is showing them overlaps with others who are sleeping and dreaming at the same time. Gaiman is so brilliant because he can tap into these unspoken questions that we all share and turn them into lovely and frightening tales.

Oh, yes, you absolutely should! I haven't reread them in ages, and I'm completely enjoying it.

...I'm glad it wasn't just me, about the dreams. Oo, there was something so creepy about Ken's sex & money dream bleeding into Barbie's fantasy adventure dream.

I found the scene with the melting dreams very disturbing too.

And Gilbert is lovely. As is Chesterton. This book was the reason why I started reading him.

You're really making me want to re-read the whole series.
