One time I was spending the day at the library, in middle or high school I think, and I just read all of Nick Bantock's books that day. They don't take very long! But yeah, they're interesting more for the art than the plot. The plot doesn't really hang together all that well.

Dude, it is like a drug. Especially when there's a page that has a bunch of subtropes - and have you ever looked at the trope indexes? I can't leave the trope indexes alone. I'm all, hum de dum, what do I feel like today? Violence Tropes? Animal Tropes? Twin Tropes?

Your admiration of my hat is noted and appreciated! I took it out of its storage to take a picture of it, and now I haven't been able to bring myself to put it away again. IT IS JUST SO PRETTY.

It is fun. The art is really good too - I maybe didn't say enough about the art. Sabine designs her own stamps, so even the stamps are gorgeous! And each of the postcards is unique and beautiful.

Thank you! You know what is extra good about it? I bought it in England, so I had to wear it on the plane home, so I was dressed super fancy coming home. And everyone was soooo nice and helpful. The people at the train station carried my bags from one platform to another for me, and at the airport someone fetched me a trolley for my suitcase - IT WAS GREAT. Always wear a fancy Ascot hat when travelling. Is the lesson I learned. :P

I read Griffin and Sabine! Found one in a goodwill, and it was so cool I looked for the others at the library. I loved the art, and the taking letters-out-of-envelopes thing, but the story didn't do much for me. I never really got why she could see him...

OH GOD, TVTROPES.ORG! I have spent HOURS there, looking up every book I have ever read, and show or movie I have ever watched. Or even heard of. Or considered the existence of.

LOOK AT THAT HAT, YO!

I remember when the G&S books were a really big Thing. I enjoyed looking at the epistles--especially the stamps--but reading them was nothing I remember too fondly. I wonder whether they're on TVTropes ...

OMG, HAT! FEATHERS N' STUFF!

Oh! Look at that hat! Reviews? What reviews?

:)

I don't think I've ever heard of the Griffin & Sabine books. But a book with letters you can take out of envelopes? Sounds like a great interactive book!
