Aw, thanks! I read children’s fantasy (particularly go-off-to-school-y books) like a mad person, so I was definitely on steady ground with this one. I think one of the things I did like about it was Grossman’s obvious affection for many of the same books I’ve read and loved.

The cover is cool, and the book is definitely worth a read. I’d love to see your review – as many reviews as possible, really, because I just don’t know what to conclude about this book, and the more opinions I see, the easier it will be for me to adopt them as my own and pretend I was original to think of them. 😛

It was interesting! (Except when it was dull.) But I’m curious to see what you make of it – whether you find it as uneven as I do. Are you a fan of the Narnia books? I’d like to see a review of The Magicians from someone who didn’t read or didn’t like the Narnia books.
