I read ‘Exit Wounds’ sometime back and I loved it! I loved the character of Numi! I liked very much your description of the book – “a lot of small character moments that show you how little people are knowable”. The last two pages of the book were my favourites.

I liked the end of the quote you described as poignant, but I understand that it is not like Lolita (which I need to read, I have at least seen the film) so I think you did smashingly with this review. Ella picked really well and she is fabulous. I remember the sketch, but didn’t know it was of you. She is so creative, like that whole imagined classics series she did.
