I am in my third year of my teaching degree and have this book as novel for a English class. Will be doing an essay and I chose water as my topic in the book. Still reading it. Found it a hard to get into for the first hundred pages but now I am really getting into it. For those of you that have not read it I insist on you reading it and don't give up on the beginning because it does get interesting:).

I read this one in high school, and I'm actually glad that's where I first experienced it because I don't think I would have "gotten" it another way. But maybe I'm smarter than I think :)

In reply to <a href="https://readingtheend.com/2013/01/27/review-green-grass-running-water-thomas-king-plus-a-giveaway/#comment-557">lethe</a>.

Hahaha, your story reminds me of this movie The Fall -- have you ever seen it? The frame is that there's a young man telling a story to a little girl who's in the same hospital with him. And he's telling her a story that has Indians in it, and he means American Indians so they do sort of stereotypical American Indian things, but the little girl has only encountered Indians from India, so that's what she pictures. It's a charming little piece of business.

I will enter you!
