In reply to Julia. Yes, totally relevant! Relevant and contemporary and a proper story, which is more than I can say for a lot of collections of letters I've read. (I have a collection of JRR Tolkien's letters that I really like. There are no responses from other people, but the letters themselves are interesting and great. You may borrow them if you ever wish to.)

In reply to Alice. I know, I like those things too. I don't mind how stream-of-consciousness Robert is. I generally find I can figure out what he's talking about MOSTLY, and for the rest I just don't worry about it.

In reply to Anastasia. I know, totally not that weird. Plus, they really fell in love by meeting in person. They exchanged letters for a few months, and after that Robert would come visit every week (give or take) and they would talk and talk and talk.
