Okay I just finished, and I only want to say that speaking of “reading the end” first – I think authors should clearly indicate books are part of trilogies (or whatever number) ALL OVER THE COVER so we know for sure that it will not end! I mean, I know you SAID you expected a sequel, but the book didn’t say…..

And in other comments, I agree Julia has a lot of potential. As do Jem and Leo (the latter clearly could be played by Johnny Depp). And one has hopes that ALL the women in Nick’s circle will benefit from his 21st century understanding of women’s rights….

I love reading time-travel, but I’m more critical of it than with other fantasy/sci-fi tropes. My mind just can’t make time-travel work, but will accept other fantastical situations with ease. Most people seem to have loved this one, ‘though.

YES YES DO THAT PLEASE. I am a huge advocate for Kage Baker and I feel she is criminally underappreciated (including by me until a few years ago). Her Company books are so fun.
