Ha! I’ve never heard of this author or either these books, but your review made me laugh nonetheless. That must be some good writing and storytelling if you made it halfway through before realizing (only after you were told!) that it was a sequel. I run hot & cold with Sci Fi, but I will flag this one—or rather, Nexus—for further investigation!

I don’t know why but I’m getting a Star Wars vibe from this. The synopsis reminded me of the opening crawl. Weird. Anyway…thanks for sharing your silly internal battle with the title. Hilarious! In a total non-moronic way.
