Really. Infection travels from the mouth very easily, often to the heart valve. Since my most vulnerable place is my knee, I once had an oral infection travel there, and that was before the joint replacement.
As a younger joint replacement person, I was annoyed that every six months my birth control was ineffective for a couple of days.]]></description>
