I hope I can meet them! I’m lucky in that my library has an extremely wide selection of fiction and free interlibrary borrowing, and also that they’re very responsive to patron requests for books to be purchased. If I didn’t have all of those things in place, this would have been much harder.

My locations are SO undiverse. I shudder to think what my map would look like. I’ve set a goal this year of reading 40% non-American authors, and it’s already looking hideously daunting, five days into January.

I really am hoping to push myself a bit with my reading in 2015. I love, love, love my comfort reads but pre-blogging I used to read a lot more widely and with more diversity then I do now. I think a lot of that has to do with numbers and trying to read a certain number of them. Less often do I just relax and take my time with a book compared to years past. Something that I’m going to work on in the new year! Let’s hope that 2015 is an amazing year of reading!!!

I tried doing this “serendipitously” this year and that failed because it was just hard to find the perfect book that I could also get hold of right then. I had to plan my reading to make sure I always had the books I wanted to read. That was hard too because I don’t do well with planned reading. I think your goals for next year are pretty good!
