So, having read the next batch of chapters, Lucy Snowe has grown on me significantly. I like how mean she is to her crappy students.

Gifs: accurate! 10/10.
I actually appreciate that Lucy was so judgey because I feel that when you're younger, things are more black and white - either you like or hate the person, and things are more decisive. However, I saw Lucy grow in the way she decided to give Miss Marchmont a try and ends up developing a deep sense of empathy and care for her as a companion. That time-skip between chapters 3 and 4 certainly helped!

ANGEL GIF.

*ahem* *collects self*

I really didn't have strong feelings about any of the characters, so I'm jealous of the ones you had. Lucy just seemed...bland? And sometimes it frustrates me when terrible things keep happening to a character and they don't RAGE AT THE HEAVENS even a little bit. Good thing she cried right there at the end. I was beginning to worry.

Oh my god, you're so right about the Mr. Collins comment. I hated Mr. Collins! And if that's how Lucy is going to end up, I don't think I'm going to like her at the end of the book. I really hope that changes though...

But so far, it looks like she'll be okay.

It's neither Paul Rudd nor Keanu Reeves! In fact it is Tom Mison, star of the very delightful show Sleepy Hollow. :)
