And now for something completely different…her two — well, these days they’d be called “memoirs” about being a housewife and mother, LIFE AMONG THE SAVAGES and RAISING DEMONS. Look back into a world far stranger to most of those born after 1960 than any of Jackson’s creepy novels. They’re pretty funny, too.

In reply to Lory@Emerald City Book Review. If you want funny, I recommend The Sundial, which utterly cracks me up. But it's creepy ALSO. I mean, creepy's the main dish in all her books, I think?, and there are other things on the side? Funny's the side in The Sundial, and it's a substantial side, but creepy's still what it mainly is.
