Why not triple subtitles? It could have been Speak Now: Marriage Equality on Trial, the Story of Hollingsworth v Perry OR How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Accept a Job Whomp Whomp Mama Needs a New Pair of Shoes :p Now that’s catchy!

What – double subtitles?? Why would they do that? That’s like trying too hard to get people to read your book.

That aside, I would like to read this one. I’ve been trying to read more about the US legal system and this is a good candidate for that project.

In reply to Alice. Hahahaha, I just remember my flatmates in England not believing me that Iowa had marriage equality. I remember them being like "But, is it not all farms there?" and I was thinking, a, I do not know what Iowa is like; and b, it DOES SEEM ODD that they would have marriage equality before, like, New York.

Also, however, Earl Warren is best known in the US for running a quite-liberal Supreme Court that decided a number of important civil rights cases, including Brown v. Board of Education, which put paid to the doctrine of separate-but-equal in this country. And I'm sure that's what the guy was thinking of when he offered the named chair.

So that’s what was up with Iowa, my knowledge of US legal issues is now not non-existent anymore.
Course he offered the chair to Yoshino without blushing. Such privileged ignorance.
