It's good, I think, although I don't know all that much about the history of India and Pakistan. But the general notion (I am trying to remember this right from the book; my memory's already gotten fuzzy) is that Pakistan's threatening to drop a nuke on Mumbai, and everything's gone quite bonkers. India has the notion that the West will step in, but then the West is cyberattacked, in an unrelated matter, so all the news and internet goes to hell, and then in India and Pakistan the communications networks ALSO start to break down, and there's a whole lot of religious violence between Hindus and Muslims. I think that's the general idea. The author said he was inspired by all that stuff in 2001-2002, when there was that big military standoff between India and Pakistan -- he said what really, really struck him was the extent to which everyone just tried to get on with their regular lives even though what was happening was utterly bonkers and scary.

I had vaguely heard about this one but haven't yet read much about it. This sounds like one I will want to read. Curious to see what the author envisions for an apocalyptic India, especially keeping in mind some of the current events going on there. I'll try to get this one from India next month.
