Also, as the AV Club pointed out, the show really missed the opportunity for a great Doctor Who reference when Kilgrave was waiting for Jessica to come home. How awesome would it have been if he had said to the servants “Don’t blink. Don’t even blink!”

ALSO, am I the only one who thinks the name “Kilgrave” just sounds more and more ridiculous the more they say it? It would almost be less silly if they just went ahead and called him “Purple Man” (which is what he’s usually called in the comics).

Me either! Oh I am so squeamish about them! And there’s a really inTENSE needle thing in Jessica Jones’s last or second-to-last episode, and I swear it goes on for like a full minute. Blech.

Yes, I definitely didn’t expect to. I thought “oh great, here’s where it gets rapey” and that wasn’t what happened at all. I find it a little hard to believe that Kilgrave’s in love with Jessica, but Tennant sells it so well, and since it saves us from more goddamn rape scenes, I can’t complain. 😀

Yes! It really is! There’s not a good reason for her not to do it at this point, and it feels like by far the weakest area of the plot.
