Have you read Stiefvater’s earlier books by any chance? I’ve read all the current Raven Boys books (and am eagerly awaiting the last one) and The Scorpio Races, but I’ve never gotten around to picking up Shiver and Lament.

I probably wouldn’t have picked this book up because I am still trying to rid myself of my aweful biases towards fantasy lit and fantasy book covers. I love so many fantasy books now but somehow my first reaction is still not aware of my recent conversion. Putting this one on my list cause of low drama and Twisted Things!

Yes! I don’t know that this is quite as good as Maggie Stiefvater at her best, but it is awfully good.

Hahahaha, yep, I try to be a little selective about what I add to my TBR list. Otherwise I just end up drowning — which is a life I have lived in the past and am not eager to return to. The days of a word document that I could not filter are LONG GONE.
