Hmm…I haven’t actually read that many books about missing siblings. But movies? Yes, especially Indian movies, quite a number of them are all about the separated siblings, and yes, even missing parents. So over that plot point now.

But the way I see The Raven Kings creep into all your other reviews, I think that is the series I need to pick up next.

Heh that has me wondering, too, for I have such a boringly normal relationship with my brother! We are.neither epically close nor melodramatically estranged. You see, I can write a book 😀
I am always looking for more African lit and usually end up reading mostly Nigerian lit, but ha this year I’ve already read two from.Zimbabwe, so yay I get to read this one without showing any favors.

Ah, yeah, I was also thinking that maybe as someone who is functionally an only child, I might not read as many sibling-focused books, or they may not stick with me as much? (I have two half-siblings and three step-siblings, but they’re all a bit older and we didn’t grow up in the same household/are not close – indeed, I’ve never even MET one of my step-siblings despite the fact that his dad and my mom have been married for 16 years now).

God, I feel like I’ve read infinity missing siblings books. But it may be that because I’m quite sensitive to missing siblings (I LOVE MY SIBLINGS), I’m detecting a massive pattern of missing-siblings books. And maybe it isn’t quite as pervasive as I’m feeling it is?

Also, YES. Huge yes to Where’d You Go Bernadette. Great point. Totally missing, totally mother.
