I am so very behind in the Black Widow comics, but I think I read these first two volumes. The art was all right for me, but I was disappointed in Natasha’s always-fucking-up-ness. It kind of made me not in a rush to seek out the next ones.

Black Widow doesnt seem to be a comic I would be interested to read. But I like the illustrations you have highlighted. How awful when a good book gets overshadowed by sexism content

In reply to Kailana. Very reasonable! My next movie is going to be to search out all what Phil Noto has ever been involved with on Marvel Unlimited, and read all of it. Poe Dameron comic was, if you are interested, excellent. Beautifully illustrated and also super fun.

Yes she totally does! Did you read that Linda Holmes piece a while ago about Black Widow? She was talking about how as the only woman in the movie, there’s an undue burden of representation on her, and any version of her story would have been a problem. Here’s the link!

The art is really nice too bad it gets ruined by the sexism. And is it just me or does Black Widow get the short stick in the Avenger movies too? I mean she gets to kick ass but so much of the emotional drama and atonement crap gets laid on her since she is the (until recently) the only female avenger. Makes me crazy.
