This sounds so interesting. Really anything about the brain and how it works… But this one makes me think I could get a couple new ideas on how to make my children like certain foods that I think they should like but don’t. They are definitely more likely to try new foods when other people are around (and more likely to gulp it down even if they don’t). We just always need to have someone over for supper!

This sounds so fun! I appreciate when pop science authors don’t offer a simplistic answer if we don’t have one yet and even without a definitive answer, it seems this book could offer some fascinating fun facts.

Hmm yes, this seems very much like my thing. I am fine with it not giving actual answers for why we like things. Actually, that seems better. I am skeptical of anything that takes a complicated topic and says “But THIS is the answer. No one else has been able to give a single answer, but I can.”

This sounds like a book I would enjoy. I also try to steer clear of the brand of fake neuroscience you mention… or any fishy and convenient conclusions in the name of science supported by “a recent study” for that matter. Adding this to my wishlist.

Re: “Counting Stars”… I find that I start to like a song if a certain hunky pro dancer (ahem, Val) on “Dancing With the Stars” dances to them. Songs I wouldn’t necessarily like otherwise.This was one of those songs for me. I had an intense fling with it last year. This book is on my TBR and sounds like a solid choice when I want something vaguely “science-y.”
