I just want to say that I am so happy that Ruth Ware called her book The WOMAN in Cabin 10 rather than The GIRL in Cabin 10 that I am bound and determined to read it.

In reply to Jeanne. I feel this way about The People in the Trees, even though I thought it was a good novel. I can't imagine it ever being adapted in a way that wasn't icky, though.

Ugh, I was hoping that book was going to fade away. Maybe the series will never happen.

I was a hair too old when I Kissed Dating Goodbye was published for a lot of it to make sense for me and my peers, but bits of the ideas behind it cropped in the dating(ish) world I was part of. There was the notion that casual dating was emphatically not a thing. And then there was the idea that having sexual fantasies (even if not actually having sex) was something to be ashamed of. Once married, you could flip that switch.

Ugh! And double ugh! I liked the length and the layers of A Little Life, but the more prurient interest it gathers, the less I like having liked the process of reading it, and it would make an absolutely TERRIBLE tv show! Any goodness it has is in the imagining. Showing the image is just…prurient.
