Such a great discussion! I'd never really heard of the Lone Wolf genre of literature, but you've really got me thinking...
I recently read 'The Lauras' by Sara Taylor in which a mother (lone wolf) and child (future lone wolf) go on a wonderful road trip/quest around America. I really recommend it and would love to find out if it could be included in the genre.
As a side note, if you're interested in finding out what it takes to become an astronaut, earlier this year I read 'Carrying the Fire' by Michael Collins - the memoir of the man who stayed in the spaceship orbiting the moon after Armstrong and Aldrin landed. It taught me pretty much everything I know about space travel.
