Also, I heartily endorse this list. I have had SO many conversations with friends who talk about how they &quot;don&#039;t know how to read science fiction&quot; and so flinch hard at the idea of it.  But they&#039;re picturing difficult sci fi, like &quot;Girl Thing,&quot; and end up skipping all kinds of straightforward stuff, like Lock In.

Very exciting list!  I&#039;ve read about 1/3 of it and had most of the other 2/3 on my &quot;must read soon!&quot; list for ages.  Excellent push to go straight through it!]]></description>
