I guess now I HAVE to listen, because I want to know what you say about Oscar Wao, a book I couldn’t get through because of the portrayal of women. And all the f-words annoyed me, which made me feel old. (I liked all the history about the DR, though.) I am very tempted to check out Z on Amazon. Maybe when I suddenly find myself having lots of time on my hands…

I’m watching ‘Legion’ and just adoring it so far (admittedly only two episodes in). It’s one of the most beautiful-looking shows I’ve seen, and I really like the way it’s kind of confusing and nothing’s really explained. I haven’t read the comics on which it’s based, though.

I keep dithering about Riverdale. It’s so far away from the old comics – that I loved – and the whole Jughead not being ace on the show … I don’t know. Part of me wants to watch anyway out of morbid curiosity but then there’s 45322 other shows out there …

I just finished the Netflix Series of Unfortunate Events, and if you liked the movie you’re in for a treat. It’s almost entirely the same creative team, it’s got very much the same look and feel, but the story feels so much more human at this scale. It’s seriously delightful.
