You are finding the best books these days! My library isn’t acquiring new books at the rate yours must be. I love the description of this one, and the title pushes one of my buttons–I really love the use of the word “abyss” in contemporary writing, what with the literal and the weight of the symbolic and the ironic edge and the attempts to evoke epicness.
