In reply to Aarti. YES, a huge part of everyone's gripes with Marvel is the way they keep starting stories over and rebooting everything and having everything cross over. You can never just read the damn story you came for. It's maddening.

In reply to Akilah. Hahaha, oh, it's not for very interesting reasons. I just read that book when I was in college, and when I was in college I thought "oh my God this is too real" and could barely handle it. Now I am old and it is much realer, and I just don't want to put myself through that. I don't think I could even reread the book in this current political environment, let alone spent the time to watch a TV version in SO MANY EPISODES. It's too grim for me, basically. I can't face it.

Interesting perspective on Marvel. I heard that they are facing serious issues and that they are blaming it on diversity. I recently got the 5th volume of Ms. Marvel and am considering not continuing with the series. I love that Ms. Marvel exists, but I feel like you can’t read JUST Ms. Marvel and understand the plot any more, you have to read all the other books about the Avengers or whomever, too, as they all cross over. But I don’t really want to do all that because comics are not the only thing I read, and I’d like to continue with one story line vs keeping track of 50 just because of one character. So, I am not sure if I will stick with it.
