You are my hero. I would love to do either of those things (although I suspect my book spine poetry would be about as bad as any rhyming poetry I’ve ever had to churn out for school assignments in my life), but I’m currently in charge of two small boys and this is about as long as my readathons last currently:
Me: (reads one page of book)
Small Boy #1: Mom! I’m hurt because we were having a kicking fight while also standing in pillow cases on a wooden floor and I fell down! Ice pack!
Me: Sigh. (Puts down book.)
