					<description><![CDATA[Ooh, I loved reading that article on crime fiction in India. Funny thing is I never heard of the author before. Never seen his books in the library or on book store shelves. So weird! 

One of my favourite Indian crime writers is Salil Desai - typical hard-boiled murder procedural stories, but with real suspense.

Also, as a bookworm, I am a bit ashamed to admit it, but I think crime shows/movies set in India are way better than books. Because they are local language, they come across more authentic somehow.
